Cancellation Policy
Payment Policy: Opportune OT Occupational Therapy Services require a deposit for all Holiday Programs, with the remaining balance paid prior to the Service Provision. Payment for the balance will be sought in the following manner: 1. For Self-Managed NDIS Participants, services may be claimed back from the NDIA after payment has been made to Opportune OT. a) If the invoice is not paid prior to service commencement, the service will not be provided, and will be considered a no-show and subject to our cancellation policy. b) Any overdue invoices will be referred for debt collection after 30 days of non-payment. 2. Where the participant has nominated a Plan Management Provider to manage the funding for NDIS services, Opportune OT will claim full payment for those services from the participants nominated Plan Management Provider, with the deposit refunded once payment has been made. Unfortunately, we are unable to see agency managed participants. Cancellation Policy: Opportune OT adheres to the cancellation policy as stated in the current NDIS pricing guide. This policy includes: 1. Recovery of 100% of the fee associated with the activity, in the case of a short notice cancellation (or no show). a) A short notice cancellation is any cancellation which is less than 7 clear business days’ notice for a support that is less than 8 hours continuous duration and worth less than $1000. b) A no show is considered an event where an individual does not show up for a scheduled appointment within a reasonable time or is not present at the agreed place and within a reasonable time when the provider is travelling to deliver the support. 2. For supports delivered to a group, late cancellations will still be charged, unless Opportune OT is able to find another participant to fill that place in the group. 3. There is no limit on the number of short notice cancellations (or no shows) that a provider can claim. However, providers have a duty of care to their participants, and if a participant has an unusual number of cancellations, the provider should seek to understand why they are occurring. 3. The NDIA will monitor claims for cancellations and may contact providers who have a participant with an unusual number of cancellations. 4. If a participant has 3 or more late cancellations in a row without significant reasoning, services will be terminated, and the participant will be placed at the end of the waiting list once any outstanding balance has been paid in full.
